Tie Your Laces

TieYourLaces was an experimental movement game created to bring people together through play. We wanted something instantly understandable—an experience anyone could join within seconds. The result was TYL: a fast-paced, physical installation inspired by the energy of court sports like badminton and squash. Designed for big spaces, lively crowds, and spontaneous movement, TYL turns your own body into the controller—no wearables, no setup—just pure motion, speed, and connection.

I developed the brand identity and the UI for this Scotland-based company’s physical movement installation, Tie Your Laces. I iterated and improved the experience flow and user interface for the lidar-based game. Either solo or head-to-head, players would calibrate their position and begin a digital whack-a-mole simulating court sports. There was  harmony between the movement, color explosions, and music of the artist, Chipzel.
